So Long 2008!!!

I have never been a big New Years Eve fan. Honestly, I have always thought it was a stupid holiday. Although I have no big exciting plans to ring in the new year with. (I work tomorrow, so I'll be getting up at 5 am. Not even sure if I'll make it to midnight.) I CANNOT wait for this year to be done!!! 2008 for me was a rough year!! I experienced many different changes and trials in my life. Some good, some bad, and some pretty rotten.

As I was driving back to St. George from Alpine today I was thinking about everything that has happened this last year. Though, it is so easy for me to remember all the bad, there were some good points too!! Thought I would share a few of my good, bad, and ugly of 2008!!

~Been graduated from college a year
~I have been a Nurse for a year!! I never thought I would make it this first year!! (and so far no one has died, knock on wood!)
~Owned my own car for a year (and I still totally love it!!)
~Learned that paying bills totally sucks, especially dentist bills.
~Made some incredible friends at work.
~Learned that family is so IMPORTANT!
~Realized I depend A LOT on my dad to answer questions.
~Learned that even when its hard and you don't feel like it PRAY!
~Fell in love with DVR
~Its hard to say goodbye to Roommates
~That I love warm weather!!
~It is possible to get over a broken heart
~Sisters are the Best Friends
~I am braver then I think
~To quit planning so much and to just live one day at a time.
~ It will all work out (my family's favorite saying to me)
~Attitude is everything.
~Looking back it is easier to see the blessings through the rough spots.
~Sometimes its good to just cry

.....and many, many more.

All I have to say is good riddens 2008!!! Hello 2009, I am crossing all my fingers and toes that you are better then the last. BUT if your not I'll try to enjoy the ride!!

I Hope Everyone Has A Fabulous and Very Happy NEW YEAR!!!

Oh my goodness girlie, that list looks so stinkin similar to mine. Maybe that's why we are such good friends and understand each others aches and pains. I want to tell you I don't know what I would do without you. But I agree, let's kick 2008 good bye!!!! Love you

Hey Nikki it's Britt! I didn't know that you had a blog until now~ How fun! I am terrible at keeping up with mine usually. I just want to let you know that I love you. Thank you for your sweet post. It's been quite possibly the worst year of my life also, but you know what were going to be okay! It's easier said than done I know! It is so true though that Heavenly Father sees the big picture! I am trying to learn that we need to only focus on what we DO have control over and not focus on what we DON'T have control over. Otherwise we would go crazy! It would truely be torture to ourselves! I feel like it will be so worth it when you find the right person! You are amazing and he is out there waiting for you. It's better to wait for the right one than marry the wrong one! LOL (It's really not funny, but I can either laugh or cry!) :) I don't know why things have to happen to us when we are doing what we should, but there is a reason. It's during our darkest times that we feel surrounded with love from family and most importantly the Savior! If we are doing what is right THE LORD WILL NOT FORSAKE US EVER!!!! Love you Nik! Hang in there!

I owe every pound lost to your mom and sister. I'm so thankful that they told us about it! What a blessing. I feel so much healthier! Thank you so much though! You look amazing too! You in your pink dress at Lindsay's wedding! Hot mama! :)
