So Long 2008!!!

I have never been a big New Years Eve fan. Honestly, I have always thought it was a stupid holiday. Although I have no big exciting plans to ring in the new year with. (I work tomorrow, so I'll be getting up at 5 am. Not even sure if I'll make it to midnight.) I CANNOT wait for this year to be done!!! 2008 for me was a rough year!! I experienced many different changes and trials in my life. Some good, some bad, and some pretty rotten.

As I was driving back to St. George from Alpine today I was thinking about everything that has happened this last year. Though, it is so easy for me to remember all the bad, there were some good points too!! Thought I would share a few of my good, bad, and ugly of 2008!!

~Been graduated from college a year
~I have been a Nurse for a year!! I never thought I would make it this first year!! (and so far no one has died, knock on wood!)
~Owned my own car for a year (and I still totally love it!!)
~Learned that paying bills totally sucks, especially dentist bills.
~Made some incredible friends at work.
~Learned that family is so IMPORTANT!
~Realized I depend A LOT on my dad to answer questions.
~Learned that even when its hard and you don't feel like it PRAY!
~Fell in love with DVR
~Its hard to say goodbye to Roommates
~That I love warm weather!!
~It is possible to get over a broken heart
~Sisters are the Best Friends
~I am braver then I think
~To quit planning so much and to just live one day at a time.
~ It will all work out (my family's favorite saying to me)
~Attitude is everything.
~Looking back it is easier to see the blessings through the rough spots.
~Sometimes its good to just cry

.....and many, many more.

All I have to say is good riddens 2008!!! Hello 2009, I am crossing all my fingers and toes that you are better then the last. BUT if your not I'll try to enjoy the ride!!

I Hope Everyone Has A Fabulous and Very Happy NEW YEAR!!!

Merry Christmas...

Christmas was kinda weird this year. Its only Zach and I at home, so instead of waking up and opening presents, my parents and Zach and I woke up and headed out to the Christiansen's to watch Jadi and McCord. That was really fun. Christmas is so much more fun when your little. We then did the traditional breakfast at my Grandma and Grandpa Woodruff's which is always delicious!! Then at around one Linz and Kars, Court and Jami and their kids came to my parents and we opened presents. Santa did good!! I got a new ipod touch and a kitchen table and chairs that i've been dying for. (although, I am not sure how I will ever get them down to St.George). We then spent the afternoon eating, and having a fight with nerf guns. It was overall a fun Christmas. Thanks Mom and Dad!! Love you!

So, my Mom called and told me that my pictures of my Christmas tree were too blurry that i should repost them. SO here are a couple hopefully less blurry pictures. I'll be honest, I am sad that it is getting closer to when I'll have to take my tree down. I have really enjoyed it!!

Holiday Puzzle...

Here is the finished masterpiece!!

Here is a closer look.... and what it looked in the process.

Last week when it was snowing down here, I didn't want to go any where because it was too cold. So, I stayed in and started a puzzle. Little did I know the puzzle would consume me!! It was a really hard puzzle and it took forever!! But today I was determined to finish it. So I sat down and finally after many hours finished my puzzle!! Now that its done I am not sure what to do with it. I guess I will break it up and put it back in the box. Its a shame to have to put all that work back in the box.

Almost all of my cousins and their families were able to be there. So it was loud and fun!! We also did our tradition of Black Friday shopping! We got up at 3:30 am!! It gets earlier ever year and this year Wal Mart was insane!! But we got good deals and will be there again next year!! We also had a Gingerbread house contest!! We laughed are heads off and enjoyed the competition!! We even had my Grandma and Grandpa come down and judge! The Christiansen's won with their church although I believe ours should of won we even had a star thanks to my Dad!! The weekend couldn't have gotten any better! We played games, laughed and enjoyed each other! I love my family and how much fun we have together!!

Roommates and Change....

So today I found out that my roommate Lucy, who I have lived with for almost 3 years, and is positively one of my best friends is moving up north. So my movie buddy, dinner pal, and my right wing girl will be gone. Although I am very excited for her to start her new job and adventure I am going to miss her SO SO much!! We have had alot of adventures together and she has become more then just a roommate and friend she has become family!!! I'll miss you Skee!!

In the past 6 years I have lived with 18 different girls. Yes I said 18! Most fall to marriage (16 of 18, and another is rather close). It is always hard to find new people to live with. It probably one of the things I hate the most about being single, no living situation is ever secure. The girls you get into a routine with and love move on and you have to start over. Lucy, Josie and I have been the 3 hanging on together. Now, once again, Lucy is moving and Josie is not far from wedding bells. So that leaves me kinda in a pickle. I feel like an 18 year old moving out of my parents house for the first time. Will I find someone to live with? Will I like them? Will they be clean? Where will I live?? These are the questions now flooding my mind. It causes me great stress actually!! I have loved loved living with Josie and Lucy and they are irreplaceable!!

So now I sit here wondering where I'll be. Praying that I will find the right answer and follow my Heavenly Fathers plan for me. I am not a patient person, so waiting for answers is super hard. Also I am a person of routines. I like my life, I am comfortable so change scares the crap out of me. But I am going to try to be brave and put my trust in the Lord. (and keep all my fingers and toes crossed!!)

My First Christmas Tree....

Today I bought my very first, very own Christmas Tree. I know to most this is not a big deal, but I was excited!! It made me feel grown up! Okay so I am 23 and I guess that is kinda grown up, but its moments like buying a Christmas tree that makes me feel grown up!! I am sure when I have it up and decorated I will post pictures of my first tree!!!

I want an exotic vacation
I have alot of wishes!

I miss a certain friend
I fear Being alone.
I feel excited to see my family.
I hear the water fall at the pool.
I smell fresh air.
I crave chocolate
I search for a soul mate
I wonder what could of happen....
I regret not telling someone how I really felt.
I love MY FAMILY
I care about most of my patients.
I always say my prayers.
I am not afraid of the dark.
I believe that things happen for a reason.
I dance while I blowdry my hair.
I sing at the top of my lungs in my car.
I don’t know where I'll be in a year.
I fight my own battles
I write lots of texts
I lose a lot of sleep.
I win not very often.
I never have enough time.
I listen to my parents.
I can always count on my sisters and mom to talk too.
I am scared of being alone.
I need a good book!
I am happy being with my family :)

Thanks....

Today I had the day from Hell at work. Basically I cried for several hours since I got home. I just wanted to say thanks to my Mom and Dad who have talked to me on the phone and reassured me over and over. They were even texting me every half hour just to make sure I was okay. Their support means the world to me. I don't think I can say it enough how blessed I am to have the parents I have!! I love you guys so much!! Also thanks to Morgan and Lisa, my friends who came over soon as they heard and took me to get ice cream and to Chilis to make my night so much better!!

Dinner

My sisters, Mom, Aunt Kelly and Iwent to Witches Night Out last Saturday. We had a blast dressing up like witches going to dinner then to Gardener Village for the festivities. We laughed our heads off when Jami and My Aunt Kelly had an incident with a hidden swamp that resulted in pee tights and a missing witch nose. We danced and partied and my Mom even won a "major" award!! I can't wait for next year!!
