Lexi's First Dance Class

Lexi started dance class and she loves it! Its called Too Much Fun, they dance around put on dress ups and at the end have a tea party. They have to go into the room by themselves and they shut the door and they can't see the parents. I had been preparing her telling her that she goes into class while I wait for her outside. When we got there and they opened the door she got nervous and clung to me. I promised her a new loopsy if she went in and she got up and went right in and hasn't hesitated since. She is in the class with her friend Maggie and loves going with her. They give her a stamp on her hand at the end and I am pretty sure that is her favorite part! I can't believe that my baby girl is old enough to be in dance. She sure loves it!

Rav is 5 Months

Rav is 5 Months old!

This little dude is 5 months old! 

Sometimes its hard to believe its only been 5 months and then other times 5 months has flown by!

 I sure love this little dude!

Here are some Rav facts:

~is in 9-12 month clothes

~eats rice cereal or oatmeal twice a day

~still is nursing every 3-4 hours 

(although he went on a nursing strike for almost a week in which we both shed tears)

~is a huge momma's boy, if I am in the room he makes a begging noise until I take him.

~sucks his thumb. (we try to give him his binkie when he does but it is kinda cute)

~is a MAJOR drooler

~is a rotten sleeper. He gets up about 3 to 4 times.

~loves his cozy

~loves Mickey Mouse

~Can roll from his back to tummy and vice versa

~still smiles at anyone 

~is super ticklish and belly laughs every time

~loves the tubby

~ LOVE LOVES Lexi

~puts everything in his mouth.

~loves toys

~loves to be held

~babbles all day long

~makes a growling noise

~he has a high pitch squeal when he is excited

I sure love this boy. He is still high maintenance and I wish he would sleep better but he is so dang cute I don't mind snuggling with him. He is so so long. His little feet hang off the edge of his car seat. He melts my heart so much.

Rav's first rice cereal experience

We gave Rav his first rice cereal when he was 4 months old. He wasn't sure at first, but then he couldn't get enough. This kid loves to eat. He now giggles when he sees the spoon coming.

 I hope he is always a good eater!

Lexi got to eat a chocolate doughnut while Rav enjoyed his cereal! As you can tell from the picture she loved it!

Pine Valley

Back in July we spent a couple of days up in Pine Valley with the Harris family. We had a great time! We spent time going for a walk, playing on a zip line, eating, swimming, riding the horse and playing games. It was Tip's birthday while we were there and it was fun for him to spend it with his family. Poor Rav did spend the first night up screaming so we ran him back into town the next day to the doctor and he ended up having a double ear infection and a ruptured ear drum. He was still a pretty happy guy regardless. It rained most of the time and it was welcome break from the heat. It was a great little trip!

 In true Grandma Dina fashion, she had a scavenger hunt for the kids. Lexi loved it!

We were all pretty exhausted after it all. No one more then Lexi, who stayed up way past her bedtime every night and had no nap. On the last day she climbed up and snuggled into Grandpa Gary and they both took a little snooze!
