It's been awhile....

It's been awhile since I've posted. That is because not much has been going on in the Harris house. I did pass my half way point on my pregnancy (YAHOO!!!). The baby is doing great! She is getting big (or at least I am getting bigger) and I am able to feel her kick and twist! She doesn't sit still for very long! Tip also gets to enjoy the little punches she delivers. Its becoming more real for both of us. We are still trying to prepare for her arrival. OK, so I think about preparing but don't really know where to start. Her room still empty! One day I hope to have it filled with a crib, dresser and other various items I know she doesn't need but I want her to have!

Tip went on a business trip back east with my dad and bro in law last week, so I was able to spend almost a week up north with my Mom and Sisters. It was a blast! It was fun to spend time with my niece and nephews as well. Since we were all dateless for Valentines me, Jami, my Mom, Zach, my Aunt Kelly and few others went to the move Valentines Day together. It was fun to just hang out. I sure do miss my family living so far away. Its hard to be down here when they are all up there. But it does make the time we get to spend together more fun!

Life is pretty good for us. We are so excited to meet this little girl! I sure hope the last half of my pregnancy goes faster then the first!!

Preparing for our baby girl...

Now that we are only 2 weeks away from being half way done with this pregnancy, we are coming to realize all that we have to do to prepare for our little girl! I can't decide if baby's are just expensive or I just have really expensive taste?? I think its both! I have been searching like mad for cribs, furniture, baby bedding. Not much luck, or at least not enough money!! I am open for ideas, suggestions, ANYTHING!! People keep telling me to make my own stuff. Which is a great idea, and its not like i don't have the desire to create my little girl's things just no talent!! So the search continues!! Keep your eyes open please!!

Happy Six Months!!

Tipper and I have been married 6 months today!! We sure have had a lot happen to us in the first 6 months of our marriage!

~January 24, 2009: we went on our second first date.

~April 18, 2009: we got engaged

~July 10, 2009: we purchased our first home!!

~July 18, 2009: We were sealed for eternity in the Timp Temple!

~October 23, 2009: Positive Pregnancy Tests!!

~December 21, 2009: Heard our baby's Heart beat for the first time!

~January 11, 2010: It's a GIRL!! We had our first ultrasound!

~January 18, 2010: Happy Six Months!!

Those are just a few milestones that we have accomplished in the first year of our relationship. These last 6 months have been amazing/hard/emotional/happy/frustrating/exciting and every other emotion! I am so blessed to have Tip in my life. He sure is a great guy. We have had to learn how to adjust to living with each other, but its been great. He puts up with a lot from me. These last 4 months with me being sick and hormonal, I haven't been the easiest person to live with. He often has to deal with me sobbing, laughing, and yelling in a five minute span! Poor guy! Yet he often rubs my feet or back! He loves me anyways!!

I am lucky and love him more each day! I am excited/nervous for our little girl to come!! I know that she will bring joy into our lives. I know that even though it was quick surprise for me to be pregnant, she is meant to come to our family at this time. I already love her and I haven't even met her. I know that Tip will be a great dad! He is a great guy and I love him dearly!!

We are Having a....

GIRL!!!

We are so so excited!! We pretty sure our little bun in the oven is a girl! We got to have an early ultrasound thanks to Linzy and Karson. Although, she wouldn't sit still long enough to get a hundred percent clear shot of her little rear we are pretty dang certain she is a girl! I can't wait!! I wasn't really surprise, I have been dreaming about the same little girl every week! It was so fun to see her moving around and sucking her fingers. We can't wait till June, although we sure got a lot to do!!

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the BABY in the baby carriage...

Yes its true we are having a baby!! We are very excited, a little shocked but excited! I didn't quite believe it hence the 6 pregnancy test!! (fyi, Albertson's locks up their pregnancy tests). The baby is due June 30th! I am 13 weeks pregnant, although its been a long 13 weeks. I have been pretty sick, thank heavens for Zofran!! Tipper deserves to be blessed! He has done great putting up with me! Besides being sick, I have been so tired, I go to sleep between 8 and 9 every night, which leaves Tipper to hangout by himself. I believe he has gotten really good at the xbox in the last 13 weeks! We got to hear our baby's heartbeat today for the first time. It was really neat!! It made this feel more real!

We hope everyone has a great and Merry Christmas!! We are excited to spend our first Christmas together!! I sure am so grateful for Tip in my life!! I sure got lucky when I found him! He will be a great dad!! He is already really good a changing diapers!

Mom's 50th and 3 month anniversary...

Last week was my Mom's 50th birthday! We decided that as a family we would spend the weekend as a family. So my entire family ventured down to St. George! We sure had a blast! Its been along time since we all have been able to have a vacation together! Even though Tip and I live here it was still a type of vacation for us!! We spent the days playing games, swimming, had a mean game of bocchi, and spent the day up and Zions! We then had a great party for my Mom. We had homemade Cafe Rio salads, Zach put together a great movie or my mom's life and Linzy made and amazing scrapbook full of letters from each family member. We also did hilarious skits!! The Parduhn clan read a great poem (Matt is an awesome reader!). The Christiansens did a great skit about the day in the life if Kayla! Then Linzy wrote an awesome song that the Morgans, Us, and Zach sang. We laughed and cried!! It was a great weekend. We don't get to spend enough time together. But every time we get together we really love and enjoy each other. I have an amazing family! My mom is so great!! I love her so much!! I hope she had a great birthday!! We also got to spend time with Tip's family on Sunday and Monday for Raegans Baby Blessing. It was great to see them too!! We are both blessed to have such amazing families!! We are so lucky!!

*****ALSO, today is Tip and I's 3 month anniversary!! I can't believe its been 3 months!! It has gone by so fast!! I love him more then ever!! He is honestly my best friend!! We have adjusted to being married pretty good I think!! We have learned a few new things about each other but we still are TOTALLY in LOVE!! He is great!! I can't remember my life without him!!******

Post op....yes he is alive!!!

Marrying a nurse isn't all its cracked up to be just ask Tipper. On our honeymoon I diagnosed him with a hernia. Since I work on a surgery floor I talked to one of the surgeons and made an appointment. We met with him last Monday and sure enough he had a hernia. So this morning we had to be to the hospital by 5:45 a.m. and he had his hernia repaired! The surgery went great and he is now home in bed asleep. Poor Guy!! Guess its the price he pays for marrying a nurse!!!

update on the Harris House

I've been trying to put up pictures from our wedding but for some reason it won't let me!! I will try again tomorrow!! But here is a quick update!!
~We have been married for almost 7 weeks!!
~We LOVE LOVE our new house!! Decorating has been so fun!!!
~We got called to be primary teachers and are really excited!!
~We got a new niece Raegan Harris and new nephew Ryder Christiansen a day a part from each other.
~We have really enjoyed being married!! Tip is such an amazing guy! I fall more in love with him everyday.

HONEYMOON....Cabo!!

We had a fabulous honeymoon in CABO!! It couldn't have been more incredible!! We stayed in an unbelieveable house!! We drove scooters into town everyday. We went to the beach, snorkled, parasailed, swam and ate!! WE loved it!! I did get a case of food poison (don't drink the water in Mexico, includes ice!) BUT other then that it was perfect!! Thanks to everyone who helped make our honeymoon very dreamlike!!
