Sunday...

Got to love Sundays....

LOVE this girl more!!!

Rodeo

We went to the Dixie Round-up Rodeo on Saturday night. It was a blast and Lexi did awesome!!

They did a awesome tribute to the soilders, fireman, and police officers.
Can't you tell she just LOVED it!

All tuckered out...

Lexi and Mom

she has discovered our ceiling fans :)

I hardly have any pictures of Lexi and I together, mainly because I am always the one with the camera and I'm not a fan of having my picture taking. I read on my friends blog how important it is to remember to be in pictures with your kids, so I decided to snap a few of us together. I sure love this girl!

back to work...

My 12 weeks of maternity leave is coming to an end (sniff, sniff). I have such mixed feelings about going back to work, most of which are negative. I get teary eyed just thinking about it. I go back to work bright and early Monday morning and I am already stressing about it. I've been having nightmares about it for weeks! How am I going to be away from my baby girl for 12 hours + at a time? What if she needs me? Will she be OK without me? I know that she probably wont even notice my absence but I will sure notice hers! For the last year she has been with me every second of the day, I know 9 months of that time was inside but I still count that! On the other hand I am so grateful that I have a job in which I only work 2 days a week and still make decent money. I am SOOO grateful for a husband who has worked so hard and continues to work hard so that I can go back to work part-time. And I am so grateful for insurance (the main reason I am going back to work). I am also grateful to Tip that he has figured out his work schedule so that he is able to stay home with Lexi on the days that I work. I know that she will be OK without me, I more worry about me being OK without her! I miss her already!! I mean look at that face above, you'd miss her too! Speaking of the picture, Lexi has discovered her hand. She doesn't suck on her thumb, but tucks her thumb in between her first and middle finger and sucks on her knuckle. Its adorable, although I prefer the binky, which she still loves!!
Well say a prayer for me Monday morning that I'll survive my first day back (sniff, sniff)!

Say Cheese!!

It took being sneaky and a couple rounds of wheels on the bus, actions and all
but totally worth it....isn't that the cutest smile ever!!
I love her!

(ps don't mind the pic is slightly blurred...
I was really into the actions plus it was taken with my phone!)

Labor Day and Life..

SUPER BABY!!!

Every time you hold Lexi up her legs and arms go straight out.

She has the perfect superman pose.

Playing with Dad...Aren't these two just too cute!!

We decided that lexi looks like a little pixie fairy. She could be the newest member of pixie hollow with her cute little pointed ears! I love it!

We wanted to do something for Labor Day so we headed up to Snow Canyon to drive and walk around. We discovered that Lexi would rather sit and face forward in the stroller then in the car seat. She loves to look around and thinks she is much bigger then she really is! We love this girl. Although she continues to be camera shy and will NOT smile on camera. I have even tried to sneak one and the minute she gets a glimpse of the camera she just stares blankly at the camera.

This is my attempt to sneak a picture of Lexi's smile in the morning.

She is learning to "like" but still not "love" tummy time.

Tremonton-Box Elder County Fair

We made the trip up north to Tremonton for the Box Elder County Fair. Although the wind was wild why we were there we had a great time! Sher and Josh and their kids also made the trip up and we always have a blast. (We sure missed Trish and Jeff though!) I am horrible at remembering to take pictures but here are a few I captured of the weekend!

Remy and Tip on the Ferris Wheel

This is how Lex enjoyed the fair, sound asleep in the stroller!

Tip and Scotty

Remy, Kennedie, Sher and Halle cruising down the slide.

Diana gave Lexi her first baby doll, Grandma Lola made her doll a blanket.

Lexi and Grampa enjoying a Sunday morning nap

On our way up we stopped to see Linzy and Madden in Nephi.
We had to snap a few pics of the babies together!
It was a great weekend!

2 Months!

Lexi is two months old now!! She is getting so big! She has quite the personality! She is very happy! She smiles a lot now (except on camera). She coos and babbles all day long. She has discoverd she has hands and she trys to fit both fist in her mouth. She loves to sit up and look around. She gets more fun every day! We love her so much!
Here are her two month stats:
weight: 10 lbs 15 oz
height: 22 inches

She is pretty funny when she sleeps.
She has to have both her cozy and blanket tucked up by her face.
She holds on tight to the cozy!

LeXi and the bUmBo

Lexi tried out the bumbo for the first time the other day and she loved it!! She loves to be up and looking around which makes tummy time difficult. So we got out the bumbo and it was a hit!! She looks so little yet big in it. She can only sit there for so long then her head gets heavy, but she just sits and smiles while she looks around. She is smiling so much now, except for when i break out the camera. She immediately gets that deer in head light look when the camera comes out. Hopefully I can sneak one soon!!

Boise...

It was my brother Jake's 30th birthday (yep he's old), so his awesome wife surprised him with a a visit from our family! We were the best birthday present ever!! Tip couldn't miss work, so Lexi and I made the 10 hour trip by ourselves. We rode up to Alpine and then drove the rest of the way with my Mom and Linzy and Madden. 2 nursing babies make for long car ride! Both babies did awesome though! We spent the day at a lake and it was a blast. Thanks Wendy and Jake for a great trip! Lexi in her sunhat!
This is how she spent most of the day, trying to stay out of the sun and wind.
She is such a good baby!!
