Swimming with the WHOLE Harris Clan!

At the beginning of January, Jeff and Tricia were able to come to St. George from Alaska. It was an absolute blast! We hadn't seen them in so long. Lexi absolutely LOVED Trish and Jeff. She loved having them sleep at our house and every morning ran to Tricia and jumped in her arms. We had so much fun but didn't get much sleep. We miss Jeff and Trish so much! Tip and I loved hanging out and talking with them. We have always had so much fun being together since we all started dating at the same time.

I struggled with my picture taking skills of the crazy weekend. I did however take a ton of pictures of everyone swimming. I choose to not scare people by putting my extra large pregnant self in a swimsuit and sat on the sideline snapping away. Lexi loves water. She spent the entire time in the water. She loved getting splashed, thrown in the air and jumping off the side. She didn't want to get out. In fact, when she was shivering I had to force her to get out.

The next weekend we had the opportunity to go up north to go through the Temple with Tricia and then attend their sealing the next day. It was such a great spiritual weekend! They looked beautiful and very much in love! Thanks Jeff and Trish for letting us be apart of your special day! We love you and miss you!

Christmas Day 2011

We have had a very busy January this year so I am just now trying to catch up with blogging.

We had an amazing, relaxing Christmas. We spent the night at my parents house with Karson and Linzy and their boys too. The kids woke up at 7 and Madden and Lexi were thrilled! They were so excited. The funny things about these two they loved each others toys just as much as their own. Lexi loved opening presents and was ripping them open so fast. Then she helped everyone else open. She got a kitchen, a new baby, food, dishes, clothes, a little people castle, bracelets, a mini tramp and animals and more. She was so excited and loved everything!! After breakfast all my brothers and sisters and their families (minus Jake and Wendy who we missed!) met at my parents ward for their Christmas sacrament program. We then headed to my parents got back into our Christmas jammies had a fabulous dinner and opened more gifts. My parents gave Lexi and new strider bike and doll. She loves her bike. She can't quite reach the ground but ask us to take her own rides daily. They also spoiled Tip and I as always. We then just hung out all day. It was nice to not have to travel and just enjoy the holiday. Kids definitely make holidays way more fun. Lexi had a blast and enjoyed every minute of it. She loved spotting Santa and saying HOHO. She loves being with her cousins and we barely see her when we are all together. As you can see from the many, many pictures that Tipper got me a new camera! I love it!

When we got home from up North and got Lexi's presents out it was like Christmas all over again. She loved it!!

Christmas Eve with the Harris family!

I had to work a half day on Christmas Eve, so I spent the morning at the hospital. Then we headed over to Josh and Sher's house for Christmas Eve dinner. Diana, Gary and Scotty decided to spend Christmas down in St. George. We had a blast. We ate good food, opened presents, Skyped with Trish and Jeff. Lexi had a fabulous time. Diana and Gary got her the most darling remote control strawberry shortcake car. Both Raegan and Lexi drove their little cars everywhere! Sher and Josh and kids gave her the cutest purse with a cell phone, glasses, lipstick in it. She was in heaven! Scotty gave her the most darling tea pot and we have since had many tea parties! She loved opening gifts! We talked and giggled and had a fabulous time. We then headed up to my parents late. Since I hadn't opened my Christmas present yet these pictures are from my phone so I didn't get very many. It was a fun Christmas Eve!

Live Nativity

Diana was down this last weekend babysitting Josh and Sher's kids. We decided one night to attend the Live Nativity at Tuachan. It was so amazing. They did the Christmas story and even had live animals, including 3 camels. Lexi kept saying WOW the whole time. We then walked around looked at the lights and danced to the music.We finished with hot chocolate at our house. It was a good way to get into the true Christmas season.

Lexi had a blast all weekend with Gramma Dina and her cousins. She played and played! We sure love when we get to spend time with Diana!

Crazy Christmas Girl!

My Mom bought Lexi a new Christmas dress this year. These pictures are our attempt at taking a picture of her in it. We tried standing in front of the tree but every time she'd smile and run to look at the picture before it even took. So we sat on the couch. Lexi is so funny right now. She loves to have her picture taken. Now she smiles so big that her eyes close and she yells cheese. So most of our pictures turned out pretty funny but still cute! We sure love our cheesy Christmas girl!

Baby Brother Update...

I haven't posted much about this pregnancy and since this is our family scrapbook I figured I better give a little update on how are baby boy is doing. He is doing! We are almost down to double digits (104 days left)! Crazy how fast this pregnancy is going. When people ask me when I am due, I always say I have forever but I am just less then 3 weeks shy of my third trimester (gulp). We haven't done much (or anything) in the way of getting ready for him. We figured after the holidays we will get in gear of getting both his and Lexi's new rooms ready. This has been such a different pregnancy then Lexi's. I have definitely enjoyed it more.

Lexi has gotten really clingy with me lately. I don't know if she can sense that her life is about to be invaded with a new little someone. When you ask her where Mom's baby is or where is baby brother she will point to my belly or try to look down my shirt. She still gives my belly kisses. We are practicing teaching her to say brother and his name. She has mastered the name but brother is still a work in progress.

Here are a few random facts about our little guy:
   ~His heart beat is always around 140 beats per minute
   ~He is still sitting head up currently (hope he turns in the next couple of weeks) and really low.
   ~He is relatively still but then moves and kicks wildly for an hour at a time. He seems to be really awake at 11 pm and 3 am (hope that's not a peek into our future nights). He still does big turns that sometimes hurt. You can see his kicks from the outside as my whole belly jumps with each punch.
   ~I've craved less sweets with him and more salt and spicy.
   ~I have had way more back pain with him.
   ~Worse heartburn ever!!

We are so excited and nervous for him to get here. I know our world will change so much with two. I sometimes wonder if I can love him as much as I love Lexi. But I know the moment he is in my arms that will change. I already do have so much love for him. It still seems surreal that we will be having a little boy! I have some fears with having a boy. I have no idea what to do with a boy! Hope we learn quick!!

One thing is for sure, we are sure excited to become a family of 4!

The Month of November

We had crazy month and I can't believe November is over. We started it off with a trip up north to visit my family and watch my niece Jadi dance at a Christmas show. It was a fun trip and I forgot to take pictures. Unfortunately the down side of the trip was Lexi got hand, foot, and mouth while we were there.We got back Sunday and by Tuesday Lexi's whole mouth was covered in red sores that turned into blisters. The poor girl was covered and miserable. Her hands and feet were so sore she could barely walk and would just hold her hands as if she had wet finger nails. It was a LONG week and half with not much sleep for anyone. It was awful. She even had them in her mouth, so we spent most of the time watching Tangled (multiple times a day) and eating Popsicles and ice cream sandwiches.

She was so miserable and couldn't get comfortable, so sleep happened in naps.

We made our own fun while we were staying indoors. This is towards the end of the week. she was finally starting to act better but still couldn't touch much with her hands.

Luckily for us she was all better by Thanksgiving!! This is the first year in our marriage that I haven't had to work on Thanksgiving, so this was our first Thanksgiving up in Tremonton. We had a blast with Josh and Sher and their kids (we sure missed Jeff and Trish). Lexi and Raegan became inseparable. Lexi would hop out of bed each morning and run to the door and yell Raeggy! We had a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner and company. Sher and I even dragged Tip, Josh, and Scotty to do some black Friday shopping, which Josh swears he will never do again!

We enjoyed shopping, a movies, screwy lewy, and lots of laughs. Once again I never take enough pictures since I'm still camera less (hoping Santa has a new one for me in his bag). Here are some taken from my phone.

We can't go to Tremonton without Lexi going on a four-wheeler ride. So we bundled her up to go!

Halloween was SO much fun this year! It started out with pumpkins! We have had our pumpkins for a while and Lexi loves them! She would drag them everywhere. She would even try to get Tip's 20 lb pumpkin off the ground but as in her words "it stuck." We carved pumpkins the Saturday before Halloween and Lex thought it was so awesome. She kept licking the lids, yuck! I never got a picture of Tips, opps.

I worked on Halloween, so I hurried home to get Lexi ready. She was absolutely the cutest lady bug ever. She loved her costume and never once tried taking her hat off. Our plan was to only got trick-or-treating to a few houses. We didn't think Lex would care or understand it, boy were we wrong!! SHE LOVED IT!! After the first 2 houses she realized if she knocked they would put candy in her bucket, so she literally ran from house to house. She would go right up to the door and tap with her hand and say knock knock, then just wait. The minute they opened the door she would stick out her hand and say please. When she had her candy she would wave bye and off to the next. We ended up going for an hour, and she could have gone much longer but we were done. It was so much fun to watch. She was not scared one bit! We laughed at how much she loved it and we had to keep up with her. Our friends Ashley and Callaway came with us. The girls looked so little at the doors. It was way fun! We got some hilarious video! Lexi is getting so much fun! We loved our Halloween and are looking forward to next!!

We are having a baby BOY!!!

We found out today that our new little addition is a baby boy!! We couldn't be more thrilled!! When they started the ultrasound this morning she started at his head and scanned down. He was laying spread eagle with his arms and legs both straight out. It was very obvious right away that we were having a baby boy! Tip was so excited. Although, he hasn't said it I knew he really wanted a boy! I've been dreaming about a baby boy and since this pregnancy has had such different symptoms I was feeling that it was a boy but wasn't positive. We couldn't be happier! Everything is measuring perfect with him. He looks prefect!! He didn't like being poked at because by the end of the ultrasound he had curled into a little ball at the bottom of my uterus. We all laughed at how much room he had but he was snug right in a tight ball holding onto his legs.

It still amazes me how much I love this little guy so much! I don't have a clue what to do with little boys but I am sure I will learn quick! I know Lexi will be a great big sister! She already loves babies so much! She kisses my belly and says baby. When we listened to his heart beat she said WOW! I don't know what I am going to do with 2 kids but I can't wait!!

Pumpkin Patch and Farm

We went with our friends the Griffiths and the Broadhead's to the pumpkin patch and farm. We had an absolute blast despite the wind and cold. Lexi loved it!! They had a petting zoo where you could go in with the sheep, goats, lambs, mini horse and pigs. Lex has loves animals lately but never has really seen any. I thought she would be a little nervous, instead she loved it! She chased them, and petted every animal. She was in heaven! She went down the slide, played in the corn, and crawled through tunnels. We went on a little wagon ride and she waved and said hi to the cows with huge grin on her face the whole time. We got a ride out the the patch and picked a 20 lbs pumpkin and a little one for Lexi which she kept calling a ball. We then went out to dinner and had a fabulous time. I didn't get one picture of all the adults and we attempted at getting one of all 4 girls. It was a fun night with friends!

Can you believe that my baby is 15 months!!! She is actually not a baby anymore :( and is turning into quite the fun little toddler. She is so fun! She has quite the personality and we love it!!

~She loves getting her hair done and sits and smiles at herself the whole time.

~She is very chatty and talks all day long. Her favorite words are:

Mom, Dad, Oh no! no no no, yes, hi, bye bye, ball, baby, Bamba (grandpa), backpack, Jadi, boon (balloon), moo (cow), baaa (lamby), hee (hourse). And lots of jibberish.

~She loves putting stuff in the garbage (pretty sure we've sacrificed a few toys to the trash.

~Loves milk.

~Loves a bowl of cereal (runs to the kitchen every morning.)

~Loves to be outside

~Loves to go bye bye.

~Loves playing with big kids.

~Loves to go for walks.

I could go on and on about her. She is so fun. She loves to help. When I get out of the shower she always hands me my towel. She loves to help Tip clean the cars. She also can be quite dramatic and often falls on the floor when she doesn't get what she wants. She loves snacks and all food. Her favorite is fruit snacks! She is getting so big. I can't believe it! It goes by way to fast!!

Dinner time nap...

Last week we had a busy day and we've been trying to get Lex down to one nap. So she missed her morning nap while we ran errands. Then about ten minutes into her afternoon nap she pooped, awesome. So there went her afternoon nap. She was still relatively happy all day we were just planning on an early bedtime. Then while we were eating dinner, Tip and I were talking and not really paying attention. Then I looked over at Lex and she had crashed right into her bowl of ramen noodles. Poor girl was so tired that she didn't even make it thru dinner. She still had a noodle hanging out of her mouth. It was hilarious! Lexi has never just fallen asleep randomly. She has to be in her bed, so this was a first. So of course we had to snap a few pictures! We sure love our little girl!

Harris Baby #2

We are so EXCITED to announce that we are having baby #2!!!

I am due March 21st! I am almost 14 weeks.

This pregnancy has been different from Lexi's.
I still have been sick (hence lack of blogging),

but not near as sick as I got with Lexi.

Its also gone by so much faster! I can't believe we are already in

the second trimester!

Our Quick Get Away...

We went up to Tremonton for a quick get away. The weather was fantastic! It has been so hot down here in St. George that it has taken its toll on us. So we haven't been able to spend very much time outside because of the heat. So, we enjoyed as much time outside as we could. We still haven't bought a new camera so the only pictures we have are from my iphone. Thank heavens for camera phones!!

Its always a good time to see Gary and Diana. Poor Lexi got a new tooth while we were there and started sprouting her molars. So she was not her usual happy self. She spent a lot of time sobbing. Lucky Grandma and Grandpa figured out how to cure her tears with rides on the 4-wheeler. Lexi would stand by the window and cry and point at the 4-wheeler.

This is Lexi's famous oooo face. Every time she sees something and gets excited this is the face she makes.

About the only thing Lex ate while we were there was corn on the cob. This was a first for her. She loves corn and I think the cob felt great on her teeth.

Family and One Year Old Pictures

We had family pictures and Lexi's one year old pictures taken about a month ago. I love them! We had to reschedule them one day because of the wind and the only day we could do them fell on Lexi's one year doctor appointment. So even with shots and no naps she did pretty good. Thanks Christina Palmer who did a fantastic job as always! There are so many I like that I am going to post a bunch!

The 24th of July

We had a really great 24th of July. All of my brothers and sisters came to my parents house. It was really a good time. We spent one day at the Thanksgiving Point Animal Farm. It is always fun to have all the grandkids together! They all have so much fun together. We spent the rest of our timing swimming. It was Lexi's first time in a pool and she absolutely loved it! We had a great time with great food, great fireworks and great company. We always have a fun time with family!

Two Celebrations!

Last Friday was this handsome devils 27th birthday!

Can you believe we made it to the first year!

I still can't believe that I have a one year old! Life with Lexi gets better and better every day!

She is so so much fun! She has quite the personality! She is dramatic, as sweet as can be and a little bit sensitive. I can't imagine my life without her. She makes me want to be a better person. She is my favorite little person ever!

Here are her latest and greatest:

~She says Hi, Mama, Dada, yes, no. She combines Hi Mom and Hi Dad.

~She can point to her belly button when asked.

~She gives hi fives.

~She walks everywhere and is working on running.

~Loves fruit!

~Is drinking real milk from a sippy and loves it.

(We made it a whole year with just nursing. I was sad to stop. I've really enjoyed our time together nursing.)

~LOVES LOVES baby dolls.

~Loves to wave and say hi to people at the store.

~Is FINALLY sleeping through the night! (7:30 pm. to 7:30-8 am)

~Loves drinks

~Still only has 2 bottom teeth. (though I expect the top any day now)

~Loves all animals and has no fear even if they are way bigger then her.

~Loves to watch Micky and Tangled.

~ has curly hair in the back. I LOVE it!

~She chews on her finger when she's nervous.

~Loves to put things in things. We are always finding her toys in the oddest places.

Today was a Lexi's First Birthday!

We had a great day!

She woke up and we ate Mickey Mouse pancakes....

After church we opened presents.

She had to sit in the box to open it!

She got a new baby doll stroller. She was in LOVE!

We had one of her favorite dinners, noodles!

After her nap she played with her stroller and was so excited!

She pushed it around giggling and smiling!

Tremonton

Tip's Grandma Plowman died last week so we headed up to Tremonton to the funeral. It was quite an eventful trip. As we were driving up there we made it to Cedar when our car started acting funny. We decided to turn around and drove back to St. George to the dealership. Sure enough our transmission was bad. Six hours and a rental car later we finally were back on the road. Then rental car we got happened to be a two door black Mustang. Although, it seems like a really cool car it is not carseat friendly. I felt like I was right up in the dashboard.

The funeral was really good. It was good to see family and to spend time with Tip's parents. Lexi loved being up there. She enjoyed playing with her cousins. While we were there we decided to do a little shindig for Lexi. Grandma Dina made cupcakes and we let her attack them. She thought it was awesome and kept giving big grins between bites. She smeared them everywhere! We then opened presents. Diana and Gary gave her a cute outfit and her first barbie.

(while we were doing the cupcake thing I dropped my camera into a cereal bowl. So my milk sogged camera wasn't able to take anymore pictures. It did dry out thanks to Gary, but then today Lexi dropped it on the kitchen floor and broke it again. I guess we were destined for a new camera.)

Lexi decided she wanted a bite of Gary's cheerios. He offered her the spoon and she dug her hand straight into the bowl for a handful of cheerios. He was a good sport and didn't mind sharing.

Lexi has been walking for over a month but I haven't posted on it yet. I have a lot a video of her walking but not near as many pictures. She LOVES walking and gets better every day. She is now walking more then crawling. She walks a little like a marching Frankenstein. I can't believe how big she is getting! It is so crazy to me to see her walking down the hall. As you can see she is holding onto her baby. She LOVES babies. She drags her doll everywhere! We sure love our little girl!

Parduhn Family Reunion

Last week my Grandpa Parduhn organized a Parduhn Family Reunion. It was a blast! Everyone came down to St. George and enjoyed the heat. We spent a day lounging and four wheeling. One up to Zion hiking and having a picnic. A day hiking to small water falls and ponds swimming. One morning we went trap shooting. Tip did really well and I was quite surprise by the shooting skills of Jami and my Mom.Lexi loved having her cousins her to play with. I don't think she left Jadi's side much. It was the first time in a long time that neither Madden or Lexi were sick so they actually got to play together! We also got to celebrate Lexi's birthday a little. Thanks to everyone for her presents. My parents gave her a doll that she honestly hasn't put down since. She drags it around everywhere!

This was Lexi's first time really swimming and she LOVED it. I think we have a water baby on our hands. She didn't want to get out. She loved getting splashed in the face. She even wanted to drink the water and eat the mud and rocks!

Sick Baby...

Last week Lexi woke up with a 102 degree fever. I took her to the doctor and she was diagnosed with a ear infection, a virus, and a very nasty diaper rash. She continued to run a fever for 4 days. She was so sad. She just clung to me and laid there. We spent a lot of time hanging out in her diaper, watching movies and Mickey Mouse, and cuddling. We didn't get much sleep but finally Monday afternoon we finally got our happy little girl back!

Lexi vs. black beans

A while ago I made Lexi black beans for dinner. She I was feeding her and trying to eat at the same time. I stopped feeding her and took a bite of my own food and both of her hands went into the beans and grabbed handfuls. She was shoveling in her mouth as fast as she could. Lexi is a TV watcher. She loves it. Especially Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It's still a fave. For some odd reason she has to be right up close. She is such a goof!

The other day Lexi was playing with her toy phone. She automatically put it up to her ear and started chatting! It was hilarious. Every time I told her to call Nanny or Grandpa or whoever she would put the phone up and chat away. I guess I didn't realize how close she pays attention to the things I do.

After the wedding was over we spent a few more days up north hanging out with family. We wanted to go to the zoo, but the weather prevented that. So we spent one day watching movies and eating popcorn and treats. Then next day we spent at Kangaroo Zoo. Lexi was not so sure about the jump houses. She never moved from one spot. She spent most of the time pushing her stroller around.

While the parents weren't paying attention Ryder helped Madden and Lexi out by getting the cookies out and opened. We laughed when we turned around and the 3 babies were enjoying as many cookies as they possible could! I love that these 3 are starting to play with each other. Its fun to watch them interact!

Zach and Mandee...

Zach and Mandee were married May 18, 2011 in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a fabulous, very wet day! It was amazing to be in the Temple with ALL my brothers and sisters and their spouses and my parents. We love Mandee and are so excited to have her be in our family! She makes Zach truly happy! It rained the entire day but it was still beautiful! Thanks Diana who came down and watched all the grandkids while we were all in the Temple.

11 Months!!

Crazy Sleeper!

A while ago, when I put her down for bed she started to cry. She was SO tired, so I just shut the door and she cried for about 15 minutes. I went into check on her before I went to bed a while later. When I opened the door I could see her sitting up. I was shocked she was still awake and just sitting there in the dark. When I walked in closer I realized she was fast asleep sitting straight up! Her poor little head was bobbing! I laid her down and she didn't even flinch. I was laughing so hard!! A couple days later, the same thing happened, only this time she leaned forward onto her blanky. I snapped a few pictures this time. Since then we often find her a sleep sitting up. Usually she had balled up her blanket and is laying on it. She has turned into quite a crazy sleeper! She is all over her crib. I have a feeling she will be quite crazy sleeper like her dad!

Splash Pad!

We went to the splash pad on Friday for the first time. This was Lexi's first time in water besides the tubby. She was really hesitant when we got there and shed a few nervous tears. She slowly warmed up to it and then LOVED it. We were actually there for quite a long time. She loved walking around in the water and crawling. Mostly I think she just loved watching all the other kids. I can't believe how much she looks more like a little girl and less baby in these pictures. We can't wait to go back!!

I can't believe this little girl is 10 months old! I can't even believe how fast time is flying! All the sudden she is starting to look more toddlerish and less babyish! She is so so fun! She makes us laugh every day! I am so grateful for her! She brings so much light into our home!

Easter 2011

We got home from camping early Easter morning. We hurried and got ready for church and made it on time! After church Lexi took a nap and while she was sleeping the Easter Bunny made a visit to our home. Lexi loves the Little People toys so she was pretty excited when she had a new Little People car and new people! Plus of course the Easter Bunny put in some yogurt melts and some puffs! We had a very Happy Easter! Its way more fun with a kid! It was also a great reminder of why we celebrate Easter and the true meaning! I sure LOVE all that I am blessed with in my life!

We spent Easter weekend with the Harris family in Otter Creek. It was Lexi's first time camping and she loved it!!! We always have a blast with Tip's family, even if it rained most of the time. We spent a lot of time eating, playing cards, and of course laughing. When there were breaks in the rain we played baseball, horse shoe and went on walks. We even had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was a great break away from life and wasn't long enough!

Last week my mom decided to do the Parduhn family Easter egg hunt since Jake's kids would be down from Idaho, so Lex and I made the trip up. We were excited to have some fun with all the kids. When we left Thursday morning Lexi had a little runny nose and a cough. At about 8 p.m. Lexi woke up screaming. It was the saddest most awful cry. I could tell she was hurting and was so miserable. Her and I spent the whole night awake and trying to keep her comfortable. It was AWFUL!! So at 8 am Lexi and I made a trip to the instacare and she enough she had a double ear infection. One antibiotic, iburoprofen, and ear drops later, she was a little better but not her happy self. We still enjoyed a movie, the hunt and a park. It has taken a good week but we finally have our happy baby back!

9 Great Months!!

I can't believe my baby is 9 months old! This last month has been crazy! She has changed so much and developed so many new "talents" and "tricks." She is so fun and funny and we spend most of our days laughing! She is quite an amazing little girl!

Her are here latest and greatest stats:

Weight: 17 pounds 14 ounces (28%)

Height 28.75 inches (83%)

So she hasn't quite gained a pound since 6 month (14 oz) but she shot up 3 inches! Long and lean, she didn't get that from me!

Her are her newest talents and abilities:

~She is an excellent crawler and has discover a whole new world.

~She pulls herself up to everything and everyone!

~She can go from her belly to her bum to her knees and the others way around.

~She can wave Hi and Bye bye (although it looks more like a Hitler salute)

~She loves to crawl over things and is quite determined to get what she wants!

~She has become quite a PICKY eater! (its driving me crazy!)

~She gags when she is done eating and spits what ever in her mouth out.

~says Dada, Nana (yes that's me, mama has turned into Nana), can say what the dog says, and wow.

~if you have a camera and tell her to say cheese, she pulls her cheesy face!

~She loves baby dolls. The doll isle at the store is her Disney Land.

~ Loves Kids! She can't get enough of them!

~Still stares at everyone!

~gets really shy around new people.

I love books! Since I can remember I've always loved to read. When I found out I was pregnant with Lexi I started buying books for her. Since she was a newborn we've been reading books together. There is nothing better then cuddling with your baby reading stories. Now, she like to look at books by herself. I have a basket full of books. She like to pull them out and look at them (and chew on them). I hope her love for books continues to grow, because nothing makes me prouder then seeing my baby surrounded by books!

Lex has always loved standing. She's been standing against the furniture for a couple months. Now she has figured out how to pull herself up and cruise along the furniture. She thinks this is awesome and tries to use whatever she can to pull herself up. We have become her favorite jungle gym. She also lets go of whatever she is holding onto and can stand independently for 5 or so seconds. She always looks so proud when she does this! She loves to walk too, well actual march. She picks her knees up high as she walks its hilarious. I have a feeling she will be an early walker, and I am not sure how I feel about this! I can't believe how big my baby is getting! She is 9 months old (9 month post coming soon), and growing like a weed! She discovers something new every day!!

A couple weeks ago we were up north at my parents and Lexi started to army crawl forward. She has been getting up on her hand and knees and rocking but could only go backwards. This was her first attempt at going forward. It took a couple of weeks but she has since MASTERED the army crawl AND up on her hands and knees. She goes much slower on all fours, so if she wants something fast she drops to her belly and takes off. Its pretty funny to watch! She loves that she can go places and we have discovered quite a few places that we didn't think she would go and things she gets into. Every time I try to take a picture of her on all fours crawling she sees the camera and drops to her belly and scoots to get the camera. Here are pictures of her in action and yes we are enticing her with diet coke and chocolate (a girl after my own heart, and she only has a taste of diet coke).

A couple weeks ago while I was cleaning my house, Lexi was in the living room watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and playing with her dollhouse. I went into check on her and this is how I found her. At first I thought maybe she was stuck and was going to cry when she saw me. Instead, she just looked up at me and smiled and went back to watching her show. She laid like this for a half hour. I couldn't help but take a picture. She is so funny when it comes to TV. She absolutely loves it!! When we walk out in the morning, the first thing she does is look at the TV to see if Mickey is on. She gets so excited when it comes on.She is growing up too fast!!

The weather has been so nice the last couple to days that today we decided we would take advantage of it. We went to the park and had a picnic. Lexi loves being outside. She also enjoyed her first doughnut with lunch which was a hit! We have never taken her to play on a playground and we really didn't think she would care but boy were we wrong she loved it! She was so excited the whole time, she just kept bouncing and laughing. She loved going down the slide! I have a feeling we will spend many days at the park!

First Piggy Tail!!

Today was a big day for us Harris girls, Lexi was able to sport her first piggy tail!!! You have to look very close but it's there! I've been so excited to be able to do Lexi's hair and it has taken 8 months to grow enough to put in a little piggy tail! She has been able to have the curl on top for a quite a few months. I noticed when I was putting in her curler on Sunday that her curl was getting long. So today I attempted a new do and it worked! She looked so adorable and actually kept it in all day. She is getting so big and so much fun!! I tried to take a good picture of her new hair do but she was way more interested in playing with her babies! I sure love my little girl!!

Every parent knows the face their child makes right before she does her business, well Lexi has made this face a few times in the middle of her bath. The first time she made the face I started to panic and did not know what to do so instead of having some floaters interrupt her bath time I quickly put her on the toilet and she did her business. The first time she just had this shocked look on her face and I just laughed! Well we have since been able to save the water 2 more times. This time Tip was home so I had him snap a few pictures. I am not looking forward to potty training but at least I can tell her she has been successful on the toilet a few times!

8 Months!!

I can't believe my baby is 8 months old!! Crazy to think we are closer to having a 1 year old then a new born!! She is getting so so fun! She has quite the personality! She can be very dramatic or very chill and relaxed. We love her so so much!! Here are the latest and greatest in Miss Lexi Grace's life!

Rubadubdub Cousins in the Tub!

My sisters came down this last weekend with their families for Court and McCord motorcycle race. Even though we had bad weather and it rained the whole time we still had fun together. Once again I didn't capture very many moments on film but I did snap a few cute picture of Madden and Lexi in the tub. They are really starting to notice and play with each other. The babble and squeal at each other and get excited to see each other. Lexi LOVED being in the tub with Madden. She wanted to be right next to him and kept scooting really close! Madden wasn't so sure about sharing his tub toys!

The other night we while we were watching TV, Lexi was playing with her dollhouse. She sat there for 45 minutes trying to put the little people on the roof. Every time she'd get one up there she would knock it down again trying to put the next one up. Tip and I were laughing cause she had the most determined face trying to do it. Finally I stacked all the piece on the roof and she was delighted! She got the biggest grin on her face and she sat and starred at it. She was done playing now that she had accomplished what she wanted to do.

Lexi LOVES baby dolls. She hugs and kisses them and can play for hours with her babies. She is always so excited to see them. I bought her a new one at Target the other day and she screamed in delight. People in the store were laughing because she was SO excited for the baby.

This is her latest "cheese" face. When she gets excited she scrunches her nose closes her eyes and gives you the biggest toothless smile! I love it!! She is so funny!

Lexi has been trying to figure out how to get moving.
She now can get up on her knees and rock.
She can't quite figure out how to go forward we have had many face plants.
I don't know if I am excited for her to be mobile.
I think she will be happier but I think I'll be in trouble!

She also LOVES to stand and hold on to things. She loves this little lion. She can either ride it or push it. She doesn't really go anywhere she thinks she is so big standing by herself!

Worlds Greatest Daddy!

Poor little Lexi had a major case of the stomach flu. She woke up yesterday at 5 a.m. and was really restless. She ended up sleeping in my bed for a couple hours. Then she wouldn't eat, and if you know Lexi she never denies food! It wasn't long after that that the throwing up started. Its so hard to watch such a little body puke violently. Her whole body would shake after. So we spent the day cuddling, bathing, doing laundry, trying to get her to drink water, and napping. We finally got her to sleep at 10 last night. Tip and I went to bed at 1030, I fell right asleep since I wasn't feeling so well myself. Around 3 am I woke up and Tip wasn't in bed. I couldn't hear him and panicked since he is a sleep walker. I got up to find him and discovered him asleep on the floor in Lexi's room. He was so worried about her throwing up and us not hearing her he decided to sleep on her floor. I wish I could of taken a picture. He is such a sweet Dad. It killed him to watch her be sick, and he even helped clean up the throw up. I sure love him. I love that he loves Lexi so much. She loves him too! When he comes home from work and come in the garage as soon as she hears the door shut she starts looking for him. He spends 2 whole days a week taking care of her while I work. He gets her ready even puts a headband on her. He is truly the worlds greatest Daddy!

Crazy Sleeper...

People often ask me why I don't work nights as a nurse. Well there are several reasons, but a main one is that Tip is quite the crazy sleeper. He often wakes me up at night by grabbing me, or telling me some crazy story, or wandering my house (I found him in the garage once). It usually pretty dang funny! This makes him pretty much useless at night when it come to Lexi. Last night was no exception. Lexi had a rough night last night, and I was supposed to work today. When Lexi woke for the second time at 1 am, Tip sat up a little and this is the conversation and events that took place...

Me: You awake?
Tip: Yup
Me: Will you just go give her her binkie, I just fed her less then an hour ago.
Tip: Yup

I then laid there with my eyes close listening as he went in Lexi's room. Lexi continued to scream and he came back to our room...I opened my eyes and he stood above me trying to put the binkie in MY mouth.

Me: What are you doing?
Tip: Shhh (trying to push my hands out of the way)
Me: Why did you bring me the binkie?
Tip: She didn't want it...
Me: Go to bed, you are NO help at night.
Tip: Ok

I then took the binkie back to Lexi and got in bed giggling. Although Lexi continued to scream for another 2 hours and I ended up calling into work since I had only slept 45 minutes by 3 am! He did make the night kinda entertaining!

and thats why I don't work nights!!

7 Months!

Mini Vegas Vacation

Last weekend Jami and Courtney came to St. George for Courts 30th birthday. They wanted to spend a day in Vegas and so we tagged along. It was so fun! We spent the day just walking the strip, eating a buffett, and enjoying the people watching! Lexi did so good! She enjoyed sitting in her stroller and just hanging out! She ate her weight in puffs and is quite a people watcher. We hardly heard a peep from her! That night Court and Jami enjoyed a show and we decided to stay in a hotel. It was a fun and relaxing weekend! Thanks Jami and Court for letting us tag along on your kid-free weekend!

Lexi has been going to the movies with us since she was a week old. Although, she is getting a little more difficult we have found that if we go to an early show and give her own seat she does well. We hope that she continues to love movies just like her Mommy and Daddy!

Tubby Time...

Lexi loves to get in the tubby. She starts flapping her legs and arms the minute I say "wanna get in the tubby?" She has always been a major splasher and since she has been sitting up she loves tub toys. Her new thing is when I sit her in the tub she scoots on her bum clear to the front of the tub. I don't know if she likes it up there because of the drain or because it traps her toys and they can't float away.

Bath time is a highlight of our day!

She loves playing in the toy box, although she hasn't figured out how to sit once she is standing, so she gets frustrated sometimes. Also she can't move her feet so she just stretches her arms and reaches until she either topples over or gets the toy. She is so funny to watch. It seems she learns something new each day. I love watching her world expand.

I can't believe this littel girl has been in our lives for a half a year!
She is so fun and we can't get enough of her!

Christmas with the Harris Clan...

We enjoyed the second half of Christmas Day and the day after with the Harris Family. We had a blast as always when we get together. Diana and Gary spoiled all of us! Tricia and Jeff came from Alaska and it was SO fun to see them! We got to have family pictures taken, although it was FREEZING, we can't wait to see them! Diana also organized a Dance off with the Wii, and my AMAZING Hubby and his slick moves was the CHAMP!! It was pretty hilarious to watch and yes we got it on video! Once again I struggled with my camera and am planning to steal some from Trish's blog (hint, hint), but here are a few!

Christmas Morning with the Parduhn's!

Lexi's 1st Christmas was a success! She loved it! Christmas morning we woke up at 5:45 a.m. to go out to Jami's to watch her kids open Christmas! We took a present for Lexi to open too! Her first present from Santa was a doll that she LOVED! She kept kissing and chewing on the doll all day!

It was fun to watch Jami's kids react to what Santa brought. I can't wait for Lexi to be excited for Santa to come! Here is a cute picture of Ryder in his new goggles. He is too cute!

We then headed back to my parents to open the rest of our gifts and for Lexi to take a nap.

Lexi had lots of help from her cousins opening her presents.

After Lexi went down for her nap we opened presents from each other and from my parents. Tip hid the new running shoes he bought me in a castle pinata. It was pretty funny. My parents gave us a new bbq grill that we can't wait to grill some steaks on!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve up with my family at the Woodruffs house. We has a blast! It was loud and crazy! We had excellent sandwiches, played our annual white elephant game and ended with a wild and crazy game of musical chairs. We laughed our heads off as the adults battled for chairs. At one point my dad even body slammed Kelly for a chair! Tip did really well and always made it to the last few chairs but never took the dollar (donated by Grampa Woodruff). My mom also gave out our traditional Christmas Pajamas! Lexi looked so cute in hers! We had so much fun! As usually I forgot to get out my camera but did take some cute shots of the kiddo's in their pj's!

SANTA!

We went to the mall Christmas shopping and decided to let Lexi sit on Santa's lap. We were kind of nervous because she is not a huge fan of strangers. But she did really good! At first she just stared at him and then she loved his beard! She had her fingers all in tangled in it. Even though Santa looked like he was 12, it was a great first Santa experience!

We can't wait for Lexi's first Christmas. We know that she will love the wrapping paper and bows more then the gifts inside, but we are SO excited!

5 months and GROWING!

This post is a little late, Lexi is now 5 1/2 months old!

I can't believe how fast the time has FLOWN by!

Here are just a FEW new things about her!

~She babbles all day long!

~She LOVES rice cereal.

~She loves her cozy!

~She can sit all by herself.

~She is a total Mama's girl.

~She loves her Daddy's goatee (laughs so hard when he rubs it on her)

~loves anything fluffy and soft and rubs her face in it.

~She can drink from a straw

~Still loves Mickey Mouse Club house.

~Not a huge fan of strangers, cries unless she can see Mom or Dad
~Loves to sit up in the grocery cart

~Chews on her two fingers on her Right Hand

~Sleeps 7:30 to 7 am (most nights)

~She gives very sloppy, wet kisses

.....I could go on and on about her. She is such an amazing little girl. She is so fun! I love when I come home from work and she gives me a huge grin and dives to me. We sure love our little Lexi Grace!

Lexi and Tip love to take naps together!

Lexi's puts absolutely everything she can get her hands on right into her mouth. We now have to be careful with what we have in her arms reach. I got a glass of water dumped on my lap at a restaurant the other day. Her new favorite thing to put in her mouth is her feet. She LOVES to suck on her big toe. It makes it a little difficult to change her diapers!

Lexi is the cutest piece of laundry that I've ever had in my laundry basket!

She gets more fun every day!

Crazy Weekend

My family came down for Jami to run the Snow Canyon Half Marathon. The weekend started out way fun and ended kinda crazy. The weather was great. We went to the park and out to dinner. Jami did great on her run in the morning. Then my dad and I spent the rest of the day and night with Jami in the hospital. She ended up getting her gallbladder out. Even with all the craziness its always enjoyable to have family here.

I didn't take enough pictures but I did snap a few.

Ryder loves the babies! He talks to them in a high voice. I can't wait to watch these 3 play together! Jadi and McCord took turns all weekend holding and kissing both Madden and Lexi.

4 Months Old!!

Here are a few things she's been up too

She laughs all the time!! (Tip can make her laugh the hardest)
Everything she can get her hands on goes straight to her mouth.
She is constantly chewing on her fingers.
She growls all the time. (it sounds like a little, cute, happy monster!)
She only likes to sit straight up, not leaning back at all.
She can sit on her own for a few minutes or supported by the boppy.
She gives really sloppy kisses.

Sleeps 8-10 hours at night.
Sleeps in almost everyday, rarely gets up before 8:30-9!
Babbles all day long, loves to squeal in delight!

Diana stayed the rest of the weekend taking care of Josh and Sher's kids while they were at a funeral. So on Sunday, Tip, Lexi, and I went over and carved and painted pumpkins with the kids. I think Tip and I had more fun carving then the kids!

Deer Hunt

My Parents were in town for a few days. Lexi enjoyed watching TV and hanging out with them. I enjoyed spending the day with my Mom going to the What Women Want Expo. I miss them and love when I get to spend time with them!!

Tips parents were also in town for the deer hunt. We went up to the ranch in Pine Valley. We spent the time hanging out at the Ranch house, while Josh "the billy goat" dragged Tip around the mountain. Tip didn't see one animal, not even a squirrel, but Josh had more luck!

Up North Visit...

We headed up north for Madden's baby blessing and my Mom's birthday. Because of the crazy wild weather in St. George last week, Tip was unable to go with us. So Lexi and I headed up. It is always fun to see family but also great to come home. Lexi was so excited when we got home to see Tip. She just kept staring at him and smiling.

Tricia was also in Utah, so we got to spend a little time with her.

It was so great to see her, we miss her so much!

Lexi was 3 months old on Sunday! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She is the joy of our lives! We fall more in love with her each day! Here are a few tid bits about our baby girl:

~She LOVES to be sitting up. She refuses to lay down and if you try she does a little sit up until you sit her back up.

~Loves the bumbo.

~Sucks on everything! Favorites are her binky, her little cloth lion, her cozy blanket and all her shirts and her knuckle.

~Loves her cozy! We are in trouble if we forget it.

~LOVES, LOVES bath time. She splashes like crazy!

~She giggles all the time. One day she'll laugh so hard at one thing and the next day you can do the same thing and she looks at you like you are such a dork.

~Hates her car seat.

~Likes to sing songs and look at books.

~Has the biggest smile!

I could go on and on about her! Everything she does Tip and I think is the cutest! She is my little buddy and it was hard to leave her to go to work, but she sure enjoys the time she gets to spend with Daddy.

We went to the Dixie Round-up Rodeo on Saturday night. It was a blast and Lexi did awesome!!

They did a awesome tribute to the soilders, fireman, and police officers.
